Hello,
I love this program when it works perfectly. The problem I keep encountering is when I use the Record Screen mode when recording long videos (excess of 3 hrs). When I go to hit Stop after the video is done the application just seems to hang indefinitely. The Stop button will eventually change back to Start. But in the video file list window if I right click on the file it gives me the option to Stop Recording. I click that and it never stops recording. If I go to the location where I chose to save the file there is no file. So basically I lose the entire recording. If I record short video 1 or 2 hours it is fine. Is there a fix to this issue? Does the file get initially downloaded to a temp file? If so where I looked and can not find it? I hope someone can assist with this issue as its costing me a lot of money. Thanks again for a great application.

May I ask what your computer OS (Operating System) is? And which software are you using? Apowersoft Free Screen Recorder or Screen Recorder Pro ?
There is a file size limitaion between file system NTFS, FAT and FAT32.

FAT: Maximum file size is 2 GB.
FAT32: Maximum file size is 4 GB.
NTFS: File size limited only by size of volume.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++If you want to record a long video, you will get a large recorded file, so please make sure your file system can hold it.
ReplyDownload the latest version 4.6.6 from http://save.apowersoft.com/streaming-video-recorder.exe and reinstall it.
The latest version has fixed many bugs and added more new functions.

ReplyHi, I like the free recorder when it is working. But it works sometime, and doesn’t work other times. I don’t know why.
Does it depend on recording time? I try to use it from 4-5pm, and it doesn’t record (only gives me a 2KB .mp4 file which can’t be played back). The usual file size is over 1GB about 1h recording.

Dear mhxward, are you using the free online recorder? If so, please make sure the default saving folder you have chosen under the settings has enough storage space for the recording file size, and ensure to clear up the unnecessary programs before the recording.
